El problema del héroe cómico en <i>Avispas</i>

Abstract
In spite of the fact that the critics has argued that Philocleon is the comic hero of Wasps, in this work we propose to demonstrate that this function is exercised by his son Bdelicleon. Bdelicleon have several features in common with other heroes of the early comedy: its role as a spokesperson of the positive discourse endorsed in the play, its moral and intellectual superiority, its beneficial action for the city, its successive victories in the agônes, among other reasons. The hypothesis that Bdelycleon is in fact the comic hero permit recognize a common model in the early comedy and argue that the hero has an argumentative function in the play. Its features of superiority make it a legitimized spokesman of the ideology support in the play and favor the persuasive effects of the comedy
