Abstract

In this work we intend to study the portrayal of the asterisms that constitute the Cepheus’ group in Aratus’ Phaenomena and its relationship with the representation of the play Andromeda by Euripides in order to understand the motivations behind the catasterization of the figures and venture the dating of the tragic group in the celestial vault.
